Abstract

Survey for the fungal pathogens conducted at Bhadra command area of Shimoga district  revealed that out 12 fungal pathogens isolated two i.e. Fusarium sp.and Aspergillus wentii were found pathogenic to sugarcane woolly aphid Ceratovacuna lanigera Zehntner. Pathogenicity tests revealed that Fusarium sp. and Aspergillus wentii caused 84 and 76 per cent mortality respectively. The LC50 values of Fusarium sp and A.wentii were at 2.21 X 10 7 and 6.21  x 10 7 spores/ml respectively indicating higher virulence of Fusarium sp  than A.wentii.
