Determinants of Teaching Productivity and Characteristics of Scientists University of Agricultural Sciences, Dharwad

Abstract


The present study was conducted during 2004-05 in 14 institutions under the jurisdiction of University of Agricultural Sciences, Dharwad in Kamataka revealed that. Majority of the teachers (70.15 per cent) , researchers (59.52 per cent)  and extension workers (66.67 per cent) were found in the medium level of teaching productivity category. There was positive and significant relationship between job satisfaction, organisational commitment, and organisational climate and achievement motivation of teachers and their teaching productivity at 5 per cent level of probability. Variables like, job satisfaction, organisational commitment, organisational climate, achievement motivation, job autonomy and  experience of researchers were found to be significantly related with their teaching productivity.
