Abstract

A field investigation on organic seed production in comparison with varieties and manures on seed yield and quality of cotton revealed that the adoption of recommended variety Sahana gave higher seed yield and yield attributes with better seed quality parameters compared to RAH-100 and LRA-5166.  Among the organic manures, application of RDF (75:40:40 kg NPK/ha) + FYM (12.5 t/ha) gave significantly higher seed yield of 580 kg/ha with higher germination percentage (85%).  Among the varieties, Sahana recorded higher seed yield of 482 kg/ha with higher germination percentage (84.54%).  Among interaction of varieties and organic manures, the variety Sahana with application of FYM @ 12.5 t/ha recorded higher seed yield of 591 kg/ha with higher germination percentage (87.16%).
