Abstract
To study the silkworm growth and cocoon yield as influenced by mulberry with coleus as intercrop, rearing of silkworm hybrid PM x CSR2 was carried out in summer. There were nine treatments. laid out in a randomized complete block design with three replications. At the beginning of rearing, one disease free laying was used per treatment and replicated thrice as per the experimental plan and leaf feeding was followed. Chawki rearing was done by using tender leaves. After third moult, 500 worms were selected out of one DFL from each treatment and reared as per the treatments upto spinning. The weight of chawki and matured larvae, silk production, cocoon yield and economic cocoon traits were significantly higher in the treatment mulberry + Coleus with 20 t FYM + 75% RD F + 1.25 t vermicompos t + 20 kg Azospirillum per ha.
