Abstract
Studies were undertaken to know the response of Rabi sorghum to FYM, micronutrients and inorganic fertilizers under rainfed conditions at Agricultural Research Station, Gulbarga on vertisols during rabi seasons of 2001, 2002 and 2003. The results revealed that application of FYM @ 5 t ha-1 along with RDF recorded significantly higher yield of 11.58 q ha-1, when compared to FYM @ 5 t ha-1 (7.78 q/ha) and RDF (9.77 q ha-1). Among the micronutrients application of ZnSo4 @ 30 Kg ha-1 recorded a highest yield of 10.67 q ha-1, however it was on par with the application of ZnSo4 @ 15 Kg ha-1 (10.36 q ha-1). Application of FYM @ 5 t ha-1 + RDF recorded the highest benefit cost ratio of 1.51 as compared to application of only FYM @ 5 t ha-1 (1.10).
