Abstract
Molecular variations in Phaeoisariopsis personata infecting Groundnut was collected from 15 cultivars commonly grown around Dharwad and eight isolates obtained from different locations of Karnataka State. Random Amplified Polymorphic DNA (RAPD) profile for all the isolates were generated with 15 random decamer primers. The primers generated (98) RAPD loci, of which (59) were polymorphic. The Primers like OPA-15, OPA-18 and OPF-2 exhibited cent per cent polymorphism. Least polymorphism ( 0 per cent) exhibited in (OPA-3)and (OPA-5 primers). Maximum Genetic distance was found between (V12 ) and (V13 ) ( 94 per cent) while the lowest was between ( V8) and ( V1) isolates. The separate Dendrogram of 15 and eight isolates showed two major clusters. The isolates V12 and V13belonged to one cluster from genotypes while the ANN and BJP isolates could be grouped in one cluster which are collected from different locations.
