Abstract
A field experiment was conducted at the Agricultural College Farm, Raichur on deep black clay soil during rabi season of 2001-02 to study the response of wheat to organics, macro and micronutrients under irrigation. The results revealed that the application of RDF+ FYM @ 10 t ha-1 and RDF+ PM @ 1 t ha-1 significantly increased all the yield attributing characters leading to increased grain yield by ten and seven per cent respectively over only RDF. All the micronutrient treatments significantly improved the yield attributing characters and consequently increased the wheat grain yield by three to 14 per cent when compared to control wherein, soil application of ZnSO4 @ 10 kg ha-1 recorded significantly higher grain yield (30.19 q ha-1 ). Whereas, combined application of RDF + FYM @ 10 t ha-1 + soil application of ZnSO4 @ 10 kg ha-1 recorded significantly higher grain yield (38.65 q ha-1) when compared to other treatment combinations.
