Efficacy of Chemical Insecticides and Botanicals Against Helopeltis antonii Signoret on Guava

Abstract


Field evaluation of chemical insecticides and botanicals and their effectiveness in managing the Helopeltis antonii sign on guava revealed that, endosulfan 35EC (2ml/l), dimethoate 30EC (1.7ml/l), nimbecidine 0.03 EC (5ml/l), neemoil 2% (20ml/l) and fenvalerate 20EC (0.5ml/l) sprayed thrice were found effectively in reducing the per cent damage on leaves and fruits.  Further, these treatments also recorded the higher number of healthy fruits.
