Kudligi watershed located in Bellary district of Karnataka State was developed under desert development programme (DDP-1) in the 9th five-years plan. The Zilla punchayat Bellary entrusted the responsibility of evaluation of the five completed (1995-1999)DDP-1 microwatersheds of Gollarahalli, Srikantapur Thanda, Bellagatta, Ramadurga and Jemeli in Kudligi Taluk to the University of Agricultural Sciences, Dharwad at Hagari Campus. Team scientists visited the watershed at regular interval and collected information through the framed shedules on different aspects on pertains to planning, execution and impact of treatments on resource conservation and productivity.
