Attitude and Adoption of Improved Dairy Production Practices by Lambani Tribe

Abstract


The study was conducted in Bidar district during 1999 to know the attitude and adoption of improved dairy production practices by Lambani tribe. The study revealed that majority (67%) of the respondents had medium level of adoption followed by low (21%) and high (12%) levels of adoption of improved dairy production practices.  The extent of adoption was 66.43 per cent. The study inferred that, two variables viz., herd size and knowledge of improved dairy production practices had positive and highly significant relationship with adoption of improved dairy production practices. Majority of tribe have favourable attitude towards dairy farming.
