Abstract
Field studies using commercial ormulations of microbial agents viz., bacteria, fungi and virus for the management of Helicoverpa armigera (Hubner) infesting chickpea Cicer arientinum L., was carried out at Agricultural Research Station, Gulbarga, Karnataka for two years (1998-2000). Five Bacillus thuringiensis formulations (Bt), HaNPV and Beauveria bussiana were field tested in replicated traits and results were compared with that of untreated check and endosulfan by recording pod damage and grain yield. The per cent pod damage did not vary among the treatments. The highest grain yield of 10.36q/ha was recorded in HaNPV treated plots followed by Bt var. kenyae (9.40q/ ha) and Halt (8.70q/ha).
