The results showed that present study area needs drainage (drainage surplus was 0.3 mm/d) based on the  modeling study carried out for the period from May 1985 to May 1998. The waterlogging conditions are expanding rapidly in the study area and the model predicted that waterlogging area would spread at the rate of 223.4 ha (0.32 per cent of the total area) per annum in the future if the water management practices remain thesame.
