The experiment was conducted to study the effect of seed proportion mixtures on quality of forage maize - legume mixed cropping system. It was observed that maize mixed with fieldbean in 100:50 proportion had given higher total yield of crude protein (1336 kg/ha), crude fibre (4731 kg/ha), ether extract (429 kg/ha), total ash (1009 kg/ha) and nitrogen free extract (6971 kg/ha) with better palatabilrty (96.23%) over sole maize. Next  treatment in order was maize and ‘a’ cowpea mixture in 100:50 proportions.
