Abstract

Field experiment was conducted at Raichur under rainfed conditions to study the effect of plant growth promoting rhizobacteria (PGPR) on growth and yield of pegeonpea cultivars ICPL-87 and ICPL-87119. The results indicated a significant Increase in growth parameters like plant height, nodule number, nodule dry weight, dry matter production and yield in the treatment receiving combined Inoculation of Rhizobium,. Azospirllum and Pseudomonas striata over their respective single inoculation, dual inoculation and uninoculated control indicating the synergistic effect among the microbial inoculants used.
