A field experiment was carried out under irrigated red sandy loam soils of Regional Research Station, Raichur (160 15N and 77020 E) to study the effect of addition of prunings with varying levels of RDF on the growth of maize and groundnut sequence grown in association with hedge rows of Sesbania grandiflora in alley cropping system during Kharif 1995 and rabi /summer 1995-96 .Addition of prunings coupled with RDF significantly enhanced the total drymatter production, leaf area, plant height and number of leaves in maize and groundnut crops.
