The present study reveals the non-relevance of quantum of protein in spore-crystal complex of Bacillus thuringiensis to the mortality caused in silkworm, Bombyx mori L. Every subspecies of B. thuringiensis was found to be lethal to silkworm B.mori with varied degrees of mortality. Probit analysis on mortality against concentration and time were computed and elucidated.
