Abstract

A feeding trail of 42 days duration was conducted by rearing 424 day-old broiler chicks to study the effect of supplementing multi enzyme mix in the diet. Supplementation of enzyme significantly (P < 0.05) improved the body weight when compared to normal basal diet. Enzyme supplemented group consumed more feed than the normal group but cumulative feed efficiency remained unchanged among the groups. Mortality rate was low in enzyme supplemented group (11.8%) as compared to control group (14.2%). Cost benefit analysis revealed higher returns in enzyme supplemented group. It could be inferred that birds fed with enzyme mix performed better when compared to unsupplemented group.
