Cultivars Sakkarebale and Mitli (Sirsi collection) were resistant and moderately susceptible to sigatoka leaf spot disease respectively. In main crop, Cv. Robusta was moderately susceptible to bunchy top disease. While in first ratoon crop, seven cultivars showed bunchy top incidence from 10 to 30 per cent.
