Knowledge and Adoption of Dairying Practices by Farm Women in Relation to their Socio-Personal Characters

Abstract


The results revealed that majority of the farm women labourers had high level of knowledge and medium level of adoption. Social-personal characteristics like age, experience extension contact, cosmopoliteness employment generation and income generation of farm women labourers had significant association with their extent of knowledge and adoption of improved dairy management practices. From the above study it can be concluded that the importance of dairy management as an subsidiary enterprise will play a vital role in improving the living conditions of farm women labourers.
