Abstract

A field experiment was conducted to study the individual and interaction effect of sulphur and molybdenum on dry matter yield and uptake of S and Mo by cabbage (four levels of S: 0, 10, 25 and 50 kg ha -1 and three levels of Mo : 0, 1000 and 2000 g ha-1 ). Application of sulphur significantly increased the concentration and uptake of S. But decreased the concentration and uptake of Mo and vice versa. Optimum concentration and uptake of S and Mo along with maximum dry matter yield were produced by stem + leaf (74.65 g plant-1) and head (94.75 g plant-1) were obtained with application of 25 kg S and 1000 g Mo ha-1.
