Evaluation of Promising Pigeonpea Genotypes and Host Differentials Against Fusarium adum Butler

B. Anjaneyareddy, Muhammad Saifulla

Abstract

Seven promising pigeonpea genotypes and twelve host differentials were evaluated for host plant resistance against Fusarium udum under wilt sick plot conditions at G.K.V.K., Bangalore, during Kharif season of 2001. Among the seven promising genotypes screened, C-11 was moderately resistant while all other genotypes viz., ICPL-87119, ICPL-93001 and ICPL-96061 were resistant with the  wilt incidence of less then 10 per cent. Among the thirteen host differentials screened to identify different isolates, seven differentials viz., ICP8859, ICP8863, ICP 9145, ICP 9174, C 11, BDN 1 and  BDN 2 were under resistant group, ICP 8858 fell under moderately resistant group and five differential viz., ICP 8862. LRG 30, ICP 2376, ICP 26 and TTB 7 were under susceptible group.
