Residual Effect of Kharif Potato on Succeeding Rabi Sorghum Crop

Abstract


The results of the study on the residual effect of kharif potato on the succeeding rabi sorghum indicated that there was enrichment of soil fertility after potato harvest when potato was grown with recommended package of practices. Rabi sorghum responded upto 100 per cent of applied nitrogen with a grain yield of 2404 kg ha-1 as against control without fertilization (1706 kg ha-1). There was no need of application of phosphorus to rabi sorghum which is recommended to the crop.
