Abstract

The studies on the influence of tender shoot feeding to different breeds of fifth instar silkworms larvae over three different seasons indicated that when fifth instar silkworm larvae were fed with tender shoots upto three days followed by matured shoots registered significantly highest pupal weight (13.21 g/10 pupae), pupation rate (80.72%), moth emergence (80.12%) and fecundity (542). However, pupal duration was unaltered due to tender shoot feeding.
