Abstract
Among the fungicides evaluated in vitro against C. oryzae-sativae Carbendazim 0.025% was most effective in inhibiting the mycelial growth, whereas carbendazim, captan, chlorothalonil, wettable sulphur and mancozeb have successfully inhibited the chlamydospore germination. Under field condition also, spraying of carbendazim @ 0.1% at panicle emergence stage was found very effective in containing the disease.
