The study was conducted at end of the year 1995 on the purposive sample of 45 women scientists, working in Dharwad campus, University of Agricultural Sciences, Dharwad, to know the conceptualized hopes and fears about GATT-1994. The results revealed that atleast 45 per cent of the women scientists had conceptualized both hopes and fears of GATT-1994; at least 17 per cent of the women scientists had no hopes and no fears of GATT-1994 and at least 24 per cent of the women scientists had developed conflicting view of both bears and hopes and about GATT-1994.
