Effect of Graded Levels of Nitrogen and Plant Population on Growth and Flower Yield of Ever Lasting Flower

C.K. Venugopal, A.A. Patil

Abstract

The results revealed that the flower yield increased significantly with increase in nitrogen and plant density levels. The highest level of nitrogen (200 kg/ha) recorded the highest yield of flowers (7.35 t/ha) and the highest population level (1,66,666 plants/ha) recorded the highest yield of flowers (7.42 t/ha). The increase in flower yield due to increase in nitrogen levels was mainly due to improved yield attributes like number of flowers per plant, flower size and yield per plant with increase in plant population levels.
