Knowledge and Opinion attitude of trainees on brackishwater prawn farming and the association between Socio-economic characteristics were studied. Overall gain in knowledge and increase In positive opinion after training was found significant. The extent of favourable attitude towards training was higher than the knowledge gained. All the participants of training programme had favourable opinion towards prawn culture. The significant factor associated with the attitude of the participants was the age ratherthan education and land holding. The correlational analysis revealed a positive and significant correlation between age and education and age and land holding of the respondents.
