Abstract

Seeds of Azadirachta indica collected from different agroclimatic zones of Karnataka, and are evaluated for seed germination characters.  Peak value (3.25), speed of germination (14.65), germination value (13.06), seedling vigour index (1537.40), seedling fresh weight (1.62 g.) and seedling dry weight (0.083 g.) have shown significant differences among the seed zones.  All the parameters have shown significant differences with respect to treatments also, whereas with respect to interaction of seed zones and treatments, germination percentage (93.63%), mean daily germination (4.45), seedling vigour index (1997.13) and seedling fresh weight (1.68 g.) have shown significant differences.
