This paper reports on woody vegetation analysis along the altitudinal gradient from 100 m MSL to 500 MSL at Devimane Ghat in Uttara Kannada district of Karnataka district of Karnataka. Fourth altitudinal gradation was rich in species diversity and community similarity coefficients have shown that the percentage of similarity among four altitudinal gradation varied between 57.37 to 71.23 per cent.
