Abstract

A field study was carried out under rainfed conditions on sandy soils of Agricultural Research Station Hanumanamatti, to asses the influence of NPK on the yield of improved variety PRC-3 (little millet) in kharif season during 1993-94 to 1995-96. The improved variety gave 16.5 per cent higher yield than the local variety. Application of 25 kg N/ha gave 684 kg/ha of yield which was on par with 50 kg N/ha. Appplication of P205 and K20 at 30 kg/ha gave higher yield than at lower doses.
