Available Zn, Fe, Cu and Mn in surface and sub surface soils of Southern dry region of Karnataka was estimated using DTPA extract. Among the four micronutrient cations, DTPA extractable zinc was medium to high,jron and copper was low to high and manganese was medium. All the micronutrients decreased with depth in both alfisol and vertisols.
