Gururaj Sunkad, R.K. Mesta, Mahadevareddy .

Abstract

Bio-efficacy of six fungicides in the control of leaf spots and rust of groundnut (JL-24) and their effect on dry pod and fodder yield was studied during kharif, 2001 and 2002. The maximum disease control with higher dry pod and fodder yield was observed in hexaconazole, difenoconazole and propioconazole treatments. Effectiveness of cholorothalonil treatment was also better in comparision to mancozeb and carbendazim, while carbendazim was found fairly effective against leaf spots, and mancozeb showed better control of rust. High incremental cost benefit ratio (JCBR) was observed with hexaconazole (1:4.72) followed by propiconazole (1:2.05), difenoconazole (1: 1.29) and chlorothalonil (1:1.13).
