A study was conducted in four districts of Northern Karnataka viz., Dharwad, Belgaum, Gulbarga and Bellary considering 102 scientist respondents to study the performance of scientists on different linkage activities. A scale was developed by following standardized procedure and at the end 26 items were finalized for the scale. The findings were majority of the Professors (85.71%), Assistant Professors (82.25%) and Associate Professors (69.23%) belonged to medium performance category in the linkage activities with the extension personnel. However, a meager percentage of scientists were in high and low category of performance.
