Abstract

Storage studies in wheat genotypes under ambient conditions of Dharwad revealed differences in their storability. Among nine genotypes the viability as per minimum seed certification standard (85%) was maintained for 17 months in HD 2189, DWR 162, 15 months in HD 2501, DWR 187, DWR 185, HD 4502, DWR 137 and 13 months in DWR 39 and DWR 174. The germination, seeding length, vigour index and seedling dry matter accumulation decreased with the increase in the storage period.
