Five rootstock strains namely Rangpur lime shrirampur, Rangpur lime florida 8747, Rangpur lime L-2, Rangpur lime Brazil and Marmalade orange were budded with cv. Mosambi under glass house conditins.  Highest bud  take was in Rangpur lime Shrirampur followed by rangpur lime Florida 8747and  Rangpur lime Brazil.  Maximum scion shoot length was in Rangpur lime Brazil and Rangpur lime L-2, while, stem diameter and scion shoot diameter was maximum in Shrirampur.  scion: stock ratio  was maximum in Shrirampur, Rangpur lime L-2 and Rangpur lime Brazil noting the vigorous  stock.  The wide scion ratio indicates low congeniality and slow growth as in Florida 8747 and Marmalade orange.  The total dry matter of scion is related to the increased stem diameter and leaf size.
