Experiments were conducted to know the seasonal abundance and to findout the effective chemical to control the Psyllid, Heteropsylla Cubana Crawford on Subabul. The average peak pest population of 174, 268 and 330 per sweep were recorded during the month of December 1989, 1990 and 1991, respectively. Among the chemicals tested, 0.036 per cent monocrotophos was found effective in controlling the pest.
