A field study on insecticidal control of Spodoptera litura (Fab.) was conducted at the Main Research Station, University of Agricultural Science, Dharwad. The chemical quinolphos 0.05 per cent spray emerged as the best by recording significantly lower per cent leaflet damage (15.08, 17.91) and higher shelling percentage (79.00) combination of half dose of NPV + half dose of monocrotophos also performed better by recording 30.91. 27.06 per cent leaflet damage and 79.33, 79.00 of shelling percentage over two type seasons. However, there was no difference among the treatments with respect to pod yield of the crop during both the seasons.
