Abstract

A field experiment was conducted under irrigated conditions of Tunga Bhadra Project area to study the effect of sulphur and zinc levels on safflower (CV. Annigeri) at the Seed Farm Gangavathi. Safflower responded significantly to the application of sulphur and zinc. The higher seed yield (1669 kg/ ha) was recorded with the application of sulphur and zinc at 20 kg/ha. The per cent increase in seed yield over control was 19.5. The beneficial effect of sulphur and zinc application on various growth parameters and yield attributing characters were also noticed.
