Histomorphology of Tunica Bulbus Oculi in Indian Water Buffalo-Vascular Tunic

Abstract


The vascular tunic of Indian water buffalo consisting of choroid, ciliary body and iris, presented all the layers as described in text books. However, two tonned pigmented epthelium of the iris was the unique species character of the buffalo eye. No granula iridica were seen along the pupillary margin of the iris, A further exploration to the elaboration of aqueous humor in case of Indian water buffalo needs further study.
