Abstract

The treatments consisted of five micronutrients viz., CuSo4 , MnSo4, FeSo4, ZnSo4 and Borax applied both as soil and foliar applications, water spray control and absolute control were also included. A common fertilizer 40:20:20 NPK/ha was applied to soil before sowing of the cotton Cv. Abadhita with 60 X 30 cm spacing. The sowing was done on July, Ifirst fortnight in all the three seasons (1991-92 to 1993-94). Foliar application of FeSo4,-5kg/ha recorded significantly superior cotton yield of 1911 kg/ha followed by Borax (Soil) (1791), CuSo4 (Soil) (1785), ZnSo4 (Foliar) (1776), CuSo4 (Foliar) (1726) as against 1456kg/ha of absolute control. The highest net returns of Rs. 37,678/- and B:C ratio of 5.63 was recorded in FeSo4 foliar application treatment.
