Abstract

Field trials with potato genotypes were carried out at University of Agricultural Sciences, Dharwad during Kharif season of 1993 and 1994 to identify early maturing types for rainfed cultivation. There were 7 genotypes during 1993 and 10 during 1994 including the leading commercial variety Kufri Chandramukhi as check. The results revealed that the genotypes JX-115 was found superior over check during 1993 for marketable and total tuber yield. During 1994, JH-222 and PJ-376 were far superior over check variety for both marketable yield and total yield. The genotypes JV-62 and 83-P-108 had higher tuber dry matter than check Kufri Chandramukhi.
