Groundnut is an important oil crop in North Karnataka. Sowing is the critical field operation in cultivation of this crop. A study was undertaken to evaluate five animal drawn seedrill for sowing KRG-1 variety of groundnut at the College of Agricultural Engineering, Raichur. The study revealed that the performance of Kovai seedrill was superior over other seed drills tested in terms of higher yield and saving of labour.
