The present study was undertaken in Tumkur district of Karnataka State during 1995 to know the achievement motivation of Agricultural Assistants of National Agricultural Extension Project. The study revealed that about 50 per cent of the respondents were found to have low achievement motivation. Further, it was found that job involvement and organizational environmental factors were associated with achievement motivation of Agricultural Assistants.
