Abstract

An investigation was undertaken to study the in vitro performance of different explants of safed musli (Chlorophytum borivilanum Sant. and Fern.) during 2004-05 at the tissue culture laboratory of Horticulture Department, College of Agriculture, University of Agricultural Sciences, Dharwad. Results observed in the present study indicated that both stem disc and shoot base explants were relatively more efficient in terms of survival percentage (80% and 77.5%, respectively) compare to leaf base and tuber explants.
