Studies on soft wood grafting in wood apple (Feronia limonia L.)

Abstract


Studies on softwood grafting in wood apple (Feronia limonia L.) was conducted in the Department of Horticulture, UAS, Dharwad during the year 2007-08. The experiment revealed that multiplication of wood apple plants by softwood grafting among different age of rootstock under poly mist house condition found to be better than open condition. In ten months old rootstock (A6) less (23.8) days were required for sprouting  with maximum number of leaves (13.7). Eight months old rootstock (A4) has produced highest (97.1) per cent success and maximum (96.2) survival percentage.
