Abstract
Field experiments were conducted during the kharif [monsoon] of 1993-95 at Raichur, Karnataka to study the performance of 5 cotton cultivars of different growth habits at 2 row spacings. In 1993/94, seed cotton yield was not significantly affected by cultivar type or spacing. In 1994/95, the medium compact cv. RAS-1005 grown at the spacing of 60 x 45 cm produced the highest seed cotton yield of 3.27 t/ha.
