Significant differences were obtained among the seeds located on different tillers for test weight, germination per cent, vigour index before and after ageing in two restorer lines of hybrid rice. The genotype ARC 11353 R was superior than IR 46 R in all seed quality traits. Among the four positions demarkated on rice panicle, seeds from the bottom rachi ranked first for all seed quality parameters studied.
