The average comb size of rock bee, Apis dorsata F. varied from 38.75 to 82.50 cm in length and 34.5 to 92.50 cm in width. Similarly, the diameter of the comb on an average ranged from 37.50 to 110.00 cm. The thickness remained uniform throughout the comb except at honey region with maximum of 7.30 cm. and minimum of 3.20 cm. The number of honey cells and worker brood cells/inch² varied from 17 to 21 and 23 to 26 respectively. The average depth of honey cells was 4.00 cm and that of brood cells was 1.77 cm
