Abstract

Trials were conducted at Agricultural Research Station, Arabhavi to study the performance of guinea grass genotypes. The data revealed that the clonal selection of Hamil was superior in green forage yield (168.4 t/ha) to local guinea (125.3 t/ha). It recorded higher crude protein content (11.42%) and less fibre content (22.65%) as against 8.50 and 25.10 percent respectively, with local guinea.
