Agricultural Assistants were perceived credible to the extent of 52.6 per cent. They were perceived fairly high on main components such as, safety and qualification moderately on homophily and communication competence and poorly on personality. The characteristics of farmers such as extension contact, knowledge about agriculture and education had significant and positive relationship while, farming experience had significant but negative relationship with their perception of credibility of Agricultural Assistants
